This is our last Sunday in our “Why Jesus?” sermon series. We are wrapping up this series with the most convincing answer to that question. Why Jesus? Answer: because Jesus is greater than anything you face in this world. That is the claim of Scripture. That Jesus is greater than the Pharisees, greater than the Sabbath Law, greater than the Old Testament Law itself. The Law condemns us as sinners, but Jesus sets us free. The Law kills us, but Jesus gives us new life. That’s good news. I know that we have all faced so much disappointment this year and it is easy to feel like a victim of this broken world we live in. But the good news of the gospel is that Jesus is greater than anything you face in this world and He can and, if you let Him, will save you from all of it.
